Modifications

Modifications are yoga postures in and of themselves. Yoga is an endless journey. When we learn how to break apart more difficult or advanced postures, we can develop a more realistic and humble approach to our learning process.

Modifications provide us with additional learning tools to practice variation of yoga postures which assist yoga students from all different backgrounds. What is most important is to encourage through yoga the feeling that challenge in and of itself is what we look for as well as accessing the bodies many important energy centers.

When we practice modifications, we feel confident, safe and supported. The greatest of benefits from modifications is that it allows you to present your students with a variety of suggested postures. Everyone can truly practice yoga and discover both new challenges and excitement as one gets both strong and calmer.

  1. So great to have these poses and explanation all written out! I feel like I tend to use the same poses in my practice and this is such a great tool to have.

  2. I really enjoy getting to see a full list of 50 postures. The amount of ways you can modify and change the sequences to fit so many different styles is very inspiring.
